A.T. Still University's School of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-SOMA) is seeking a Director of Assessment and Accreditation on the Mesa, Arizona campus. A.T. Still University of Health Sciences is a learning-centered university that prepares highly competent professionals through innovative academic programs. It is committed to continuing its osteopathic heritage and focusing on whole-person healthcare, scholarship, community health, interprofessional education, diversity, and underserved populations. This position will work collaboratively as a member of the ATSU-SOMA team to assess all programmatic learning outcomes and mission driven outcomes for ATSU-SOMA. Additionally, this individual will oversee the programmatic accreditation through the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA).

The primary duties of this position are to:

  • Manage the programmatic accreditation through the COCA
  • Organize, collect, and monitor information and data required for programmatic and institutional
    accreditation
  • Oversee course evaluations for all preclinical and clinical courses
  • Oversee assessment of the programmatic learning outcomes for ATSU-SOMA
  • Oversee assessment of the mission and strategic plan outcomes for ATSU-SOMA

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee all COCA self-study activities
  • Develop and oversee all assessment processes for ATSU-SOMA
  • Develop training materials to assist faculty, staff, and administrators to best understand assessment and
    accreditation.
  • Positively contribute to developing an assessment driven continuous quality improvement culture

Required:
  • Master’s degree in an educational or assessment related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in assessment or accreditation in a higher education setting.
  • Proficient in productivity software such as Google Apps, Microsoft Office, and video conferencing tools
    such as Zoom.
  • Ability to write, proofread, and edit materials for specific audiences.
  • Brings a positive, energetic outlook toward working in a higher education environment with a strong
    commitment to Diversity, Equality, Inclusion, and Justice initiatives.

Preferred:
  • At least 5 years experience in higher education
  • EdD degree
  • Experience leading and managing multiple projects and effective written and verbal communication to
    support the needs of diverse groups.
  • Comfortable with technical writing and precise editing skills, including collaboratively preparing reports,
    manuals, guidelines, and articles.
