Primary Function of Position:

The Software Integration Engineer is primarily responsible for enabling and maintaining a high-quality process to integrate and verify product functions. The Software Integration Engineer supports the SW development team with SW/HW integration tests, developing tools + infrastructure for CI/CD, and regression tests. Their responsibility is to facilitate the product development process through streamlining and automating workflows, ensure that released features/products/prototypes are safe and effective, and meet design and user requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work with software development team to integrate functionality and verify features, bug fixes
• Develop tools for CI/CD, code analysis and conduct informal and formal testing
• Develop tools to streamline and automate regression tests and result reporting for hardware-in-the-loop systems
• Root cause, track and verify fixes for issues throughout full software development lifecycle
• Work with design control to update requirements, specifications, and trace for full test coverage
• Work with cross functional teams: test, build and release & DevOps

Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related degree. Minimum 3-5 years of experience of the following is required

• Experience in testing and troubleshooting under Linux environment with python is required (C/C++ is a plus)
• Experience in testing cloud infra (AWS), content delivery networks, web applications is required
• Experience troubleshooting Python, REST API, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Web client/servers is required.
• Experience troubleshooting MongoDB, MySQL, AWS RDS is required
• Experience with authentication/ identify management using OAuth, LDAP, AD, OKTA, is a plus
• Experience with logging, monitoring (Splunk), exception reporting (Slack integration, email) is a plus
• Experience with cybersecurity vulnerability scanning tools/frameworks is a plus
• Experience with V&V of medical applications/digital products or medical robotics products is a plus

Required Skills:

• Strong scripting skills using Shell Scripts, Python, JavaScript (node.js, react.js), Go is required.
• Proficiency with repository management solutions such as Git/GitHub/Bitbucket is required.
• Proficiency with CI/CD infrastructure (e.g., Jenkins, Buildbot, CircleCI) is a plus.
• Proficiency in testing Mac OS environment and iOS applications is a plus.
