As a software leader in mobile and cloud, you will be a part of a highly dynamic and innovative development team working on the latest technologies in the exciting fast-growing Digital Health space. We're a team of thinkers and innovators who constantly challenge ourselves to do everything better than the day before so that people around the world can breathe easier.

You will lead a full stack team of mobile (iOS and Android) and cloud (AWS) engineers and be responsible for delivering the best-in-class patient product experience, all built using the latest tech stacks across the 3 platforms: swift on iOS, Kotlin on Android, serverless on AWS.

The DHT Patient Experience team is seeking scale-focused new manager that will lead and deliver technology solutions with customer obsession in mind. They will bring clarity to his/her team, generate energy, and execute and deliver success. They are decisive, empathetic, willing to take measured risks, and obsessed with delivering value on time to market.

Let's talk about responsibilities:

• A hands-on role coding 50% of the time, while managing a team of 5-7 engineers.
  
• You own the delivery and outcome of your team and are fully empowered to deliver.
  
• Take pride in your team's solutions and in hitting delivery targets
  
• Act as a product owner and work closely with technical architects, functional analysts, and product managers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  
• Responsible for guarding, promoting, and establishing best practices within the team.
  
• Assist with project estimation, planning, and progress.
  
• Communicates clearly and timely when their work hits roadblocks or risks that need to be managed.
  
• You may be part of an on-call support rotation and jump in wherever you are needed to ensure the success of your team.
  

Let's talk qualifications and experience:

• You take ownership of issues, work to find solutions, and collaborate well with team members and cross-functional groups.
  
• Interface with other project stakeholders to ensure that the system objectives are balanced with overall project objectives
  
• Provide product design leadership for the project team, including ongoing review of design and implementation
  

Cloud or mobile development experience:

• Cloud:
  
  • Experience designing and building solutions with AWS serverless, managed services, python and one of Terraform or CloudFormation
    
  • Experience with various message-brokering architectures (pub/sub-queues, request/response) and data streaming.
    
  • Experience working with NoSQL and relational databases.
    
  • Experience building scalable, available, and low-latency systems
    
• Mobile:
  
  • Experience designing and building Android or iOS apps in swift or Kotlin.
    
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and automated testing frameworks
    
  • A portfolio of apps in the AppStore/Google Play
    

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 5+ years of experience; or bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in design and development.
  
• 3+ years of experience leading a software development team through multiple product/platform releases.
  
• 4+ years of experience making a significant individual contribution to real-world software development.
