Job Description Summary:
PayPal is seeking accomplished and passionate software engineers to join our team in San Jose, CA, contributing to the exciting future of software technologies that fall under PayPal Retail product family. We value creative, curious and passionate engineers who are experts in their domain and want to apply their skills to create innovative solutions to everyday customer problems.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop various robust and highly scalable applications.
• Collaborate with other cross-functional PD teams, product teams and business stakeholders across various PayPal teams.
• Participate in and contribute to design and code reviews.
• Champion unit testing, functional testing and other Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes leading up to superior quality products.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters in CS or related degrees.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in full stack software development.
• Architect, design and develop mobile/web application using Restful Services on Node.js.
• Experience with web frontend technologies such as Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, web-pack, responsive design, ES6, Bootstrap and jQuery.
• Hands on experience developing applications using Ajax, React, BootStrap and Express/Kraken is mandatory.
• Solid knowledge of algorithms, design patterns and data structures.
• Hands on experience on RDBMS/NoSQL and scripting technologies ruby/python.
• Prior experience on working with backend systems built on Java and Spring is an added plus.
• Good communication and technical documentation skills
• Scrum/Agile development methodology a plus.
