As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will be working within the engineering team as a SDET building, applying, architecting testing best practice, patterns, and methodologies. You will be working closely with all members of the engineering team including the VP of Engineering to define architecture, vision, and process related to the platform.

What You Will Do

Lead testing initiatives throughout the SDLC from test planning, design, execution and reporting

Define new test strategy and write test plans as well as extend the existing testing program

Design test cases and execute all types of testing (e.g. functional, integration, end-to-end) on all variety of platforms (e.g. mobile, web, desktop, portal frameworks)

Analyze and communicate test results and defect tracking

Participate in the review of QA procedures and processes and provide recommendations for improvement

Continue to introduce automation and Agile best practice around testing including continuous testing practices

Work closely with Scrum team throughout a project to constantly monitor and provide feedback on the quality of the product

Produce test estimates for testing activities

Produce status reports and quality metrics

Facilitate defect triage and handle overall defect resolution process

Conduct test case reviews and ensure requirements traceability, proper coverage

Assist project teams in determining appropriate quality goals and acceptance criteria

What You Need to be Successful

5+ years of functional testing background, including defining test strategy, test planning, test case design, and execution

2+ years of professional coding experience preferably in JavaScript

UI Test automation experience

Excellent knowledge of Android and iOS test automation tools

Excellent knowledge of Windows and MacOS test automation tools

Excellent knowledge of Web test automation toolsl

Experience using Github as a web-based interface

Strong experience deploying CI/CD pipelines

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Strong knowledge of SDLC and SQA methodology as well as experience testing on an Agile team

Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skills

Excellent test resource planning and test scheduling skills

Ability to produce effective software test plans and test cases

Proven ability to create project testing estimates and deliver on time and on quality

High level understanding of design/development methodologies and project management concepts

Application security/hardening experience

Experience with test automation and use of virtual and physical devices

Experience in Security testing on Mobile Devices

Experience in Performance and Scalability testing
