About the role

Reporting into the Head of Canada with dotted line reporting into the Senior Director of Site Merchandising, the Site Merchant for Canada will be responsible for the site execution of Canada. The Site Merchant will work in close partnership with the Product Merchandising, Site Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Digital Production teams to plan, develop, execute Canada offerings on our e-commerce site and app. The position is multifaceted and will work closely with and support the entire site merchandising team to deliver digital team goals/ LRP, financial plans, and strategy for the future.

What you'll do

  • Partner with US Site Merchandising team on overall Site navigation and merchandising strategy (e.g., site structure, linking). Manage execution and curation of sorts.
  • Provide insight, learnings and site strategy with product merchant and inventory management team to influence and optimize Canada assortment and deliver on business objectives.
  • Manage product launches and execution of PDP (product pages) while managing product photography process to ensure timely product launches. Track and execute markdowns and any promotions.
  • Ensure Canada assortment is clearly tracked and that styles are set up for translation. Drive strategy on any Canada specific sorts, navigation, or marketing placements.
  • Drive effective category management to support digital marketing efforts. Manage sorting for emails and digital marketing.
  • Partner with Site and Brand marketing team to drive Canada specific marketing events (ie Holidays or calendar shifts) to pre-empt strategy shifts vs. US site.
  • Analyze Site and App business performance and apply key learnings to help optimize the Canada business
  • Support omni asset planning and management across Site (desktop and mobile), App, Email, and DCM (paid ads, social) in partnership with the marketing team and site marketing teams.
  • Provide inputs to marketing briefs across all channels – advise on key styles for messages based on product strategy, investment, inventory positioning, and the assets aligned on during Omni Asset Planning
  • Leverage site metrics and performance to provide input and strategic direction around search, product recommendations, etc.
  • Work with 3rd party vendors to drive strategy in support of financial plans by providing strategic input and leveraging learnings (ie Certona, Stylitics)
  • Reporting on weekly and seasonal basis performance considering business trends, customer insights, and macro trends. Make recommendations on in-season and next year changes.

Who you are

  • College Degree
  • 3-5 years industry experience in ecommerce merchandising with an understanding of the digital landscape and site performance metrics
  • Strong eye for relevant and brand-appropriate product
  • Project management, analytical and organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft applications - Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong understanding of Women’s apparel market and trends, performance experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and follow-through skills
  • Collaborative leadership skills and ability to work with diverse partners
  • Understanding the competitive environment; proactively seeking market knowledge through exposure to competitive retail outlets.
