The Baptist Seminary of Kentucky is seeking applicants for the position of Siloam Project Director. This position will work closely with leaders within Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the National Baptist Convention of America International, Inc. (NBCA) in administering our program of in-place contextual learning. This is a non-tenure, grant-funded position that we hope to extend beyond the initial five-year term of the grant, based on the success of the program. Travel will be required. The location of the position is flexible, with preference given to regions where BSK has key partnerships.

The successful candidate will have a terminal degree (Ph.D., D.Min., Ed.D, etc.) and significant experience in the Black Church tradition.

Job responsibilities include:

• Facilitating supervised ministry opportunities and networking for our students in their local contexts.
• Arranging for site visits by BSK-related personnel to various student sites, as appropriate. While this may take the shape of participation in regional events, it might also include special trips for the purpose of fostering insights into student ministry contexts.
• Teaching courses as an adjunct professor, where appropriate, as requested by the Academic Dean.
• Working with our Academic Subcommittee to develop the formal expectations for an enhanced "coaching/advisor" role and to ensure that faculty are fully prepared for it.
• Working with the faculty to develop an evaluation rubric, establishing a measurable baseline for student progress throughout the project.
• Working with the Program Director and Admissions office, developing and implementing student retention strategies.
• Working with our partners to identify and recruit churches seeking to enter a covenant relationship with us as a means of establishing a partnership between church and school to shape theological education.
• Leading in developing "learning church" programs, such as theological roundtables, student support programs, remote worship, and potential regional contextual meetings.
• Working with appropriate personnel in providing input and guidance to extended community-building programs.
• Assisting the Flourish Center in developing lifelong learning initiatives. 
• Serving as an education advocate who will share responsibility for assisting in helping the NBCA set up congregational participation, student recruitment, and programmatic coordination with the Institute for Black Church Studies.
• Other duties as assigned.
