Shift Supervisor

Huntsman's Advanced Materials Division is now searching for a Shift Supervisor for our plant located in Harrison City, PA.

You will be responsible for ensuring quality production in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner according to established schedules, procedures, and processes by directly managing teams of chemical operators.

As the Shift Supervisor, you will:

• Provide daily direction for operations personnel.
• Coach/Train/Mentor Operators.
• Ensure operations procedures and policies are followed.
• Ensure all work is performed in a safe and environmentally appropriate manner.
• Drive product quality initiatives to meet RFT (right first time goals).
• Manage production to established goals.
• Ensure accurate production reporting and raw material consumption.

Skills and experiences required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or Industrial Technologies preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience with increasing responsibilities including supervisory or other leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels on a wide variety of topics necessary for running a shift.
• Strong safety record of commitment, participation, and adherence to company policies.
• Demonstrated ability to make sound judgement and decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to remain organized, and positive.
• The ability to work safely with chemicals is also a requirement.

Working Conditions:

• Leader for all chemical operators covering 24/7 rotating shift production.
• The plant has many jobs which will require outside work so conditions will range from cold and snowy in the winter months to very hot in the summer months. Working outside in the rain and snow will be necessary.
• The Shift Supervisor must have the ability to wear a respirator for extended periods.
• The Shift Supervisor must have the ability to enter vessels for cleaning purposes.
• The Shift Supervisor must have the ability to lift 35 lbs.
• The Shift Supervisor must have the ability to climb ladders and stairs on a regular basis.
