Responsibilities

Kforce's Farmington, CT based client is looking for Senior User Experience Designer on a long term contract basis! Summary:In this role, you'll join a User Experience Design team working directly with customers and stakeholders across products to define an engaging user experience. You'll demonstrate a strong user advocacy throughout the project and product lifecycle. Knowledge of User-Centered Design, research methods, persona creation, usage patterns, prototyping (low & high-fidelity), behavior analytics and usability testing are key to success in this role. Job Responsibilities:

• Use storytelling as a method to elicit empathy for the user by persuasively conveying the vision, flow, and features of the product you and/or your team are designing
• Establish and champion a UX and User-Centered Design philosophy to peers and key project stakeholders
• Work with customers, subject matter experts and business analysts to define appropriate application design and information architecture defining taxonomies
• Partners with Product Owner, Solution Architect and Digital Team Lead to deliver a tangible product vision and development path forward
• Develop insights based on usage data, contextual inquiry, voice of the customer, card sorting and other common user experience practices
• Lead UX design and testing in an Agile build/measure/learn process
• Develop interactive mock ups and prototypes using tools, such as InVision, Sketch, Figma
• Successfully work with developers, project managers, product managers, business owners and other internal teams to successfully get your designs into production
• Work with project teams to translate insights into project stories and tasks. Ability to work on several projects simultaneously is a key requirement
• Assist in the creation of UX best practices and standards
• Continuously research the latest UX trends and design practices

Skills

• Experience with overall User Experience philosophy and techniques with ability to integrate UX and design into Agile and Scrum process - product backlog, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc. to ensure relevant ensure relevant activities are proposed, prioritized and executed
• Experience participating in and leveraging user research; ability to understand and gain fluency with complex problems and generate elegant solutions that address them
• Familiarity with concerns and constraints that drive product experiences (distinct from websites and other media)
• Ability to convey concepts through appropriate design techniques, such as sketches, mood boards, wireframes, prototypes - low or high-fidelity visual designs
• Extensive experience applying user-centered design processes and connecting business and user needs to design decisions
• Experience using, working with, and building component-based design systems such as Sitecore
• Technical proficiency of digital design tools, such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, et al
• Fluency with simple prototyping tools, such as Invision, and experience with more advanced prototyping tools that offer richer interaction and animation capabilities
• General familiarity with technology underpinnings of interfaces, including presentation layer code (JavaScript/CSS/HTML, Objective-C, etc...) and/or architecture for web and mobile experiences
• Experience supporting developers during implementation, including the use of spec-generation tools like Zeplin or InVision Inspect
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, particularly as they pertain to design
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and how to design for these
