PURPOSE: Key role in Logistics and Distribution coordinating shipments and logistics analysis needed to ensure excellent customer service and drive cost improvements. This position will be helping coordinate the bid processes for all modes of transportation on the Ariba platform - setting up lanes, onboarding carriers and developing performance metrics. The Senior Transportation Systems Analyst works closely with International Order, Domestic Order, US Distribution centers, Freight forwarders, Carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure on time damage free shipments at the lowest possible cost. This position will also support the auditing, processing and posting of logistics costs associated with both international and domestic shipments utilizing third party logistics software, business systems such as SAP ERP and spreadsheets such as Excel.

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Team lead in coordination of all logistics and transportation bids on Ariba.
  • Team lead on inbound and outbound domestic shipment scheduling and routing.
  • Team lead on coordinating expedite requests, spot shipments and freight quotes.
  • Team lead on implementing logistics and transportation metrics pertinent to customer service and cost reduction, including building scorecards for each of our top carriers.
  • Responsible for benchmark analysis on DAT Analytics to drive cost reductions.
  • Maintain carrier service scorecards to drive improvements on customer service and OTD.
  • Compilation of weekly, quarterly, and annual reports and submissions will be required
  • Assist with the accuracy and integrity of the transportation payment processing management system for US10 and US40
  • Coordination of weekly freight payment processing for Lincoln Electric and WCTA. Includes data retrieval and consolidation, data review, audit, and payment authorization submission.
  • Facilitate freight payment provider coordination for LE Cleveland, LE Canada, Techalloy, Wayne Trail, Lincoln Electric Cutting Systems, and other subsidiaries as converted to Data2Logistics.
  • Analysis of procedures to identify drivers to improve invoicing/coding accuracy-internal and external customer focus
  • Responsible for the investigation of freight payment transmission issues and/or IT needs
  • Provide freight payment training, reporting, and implementation
  • Provide International transportation support including International processes documentation
  • Play a significant role in making proposals implementing solutions, which improve customer service, improve the flow of material and reduce costs.
  • Learn Six Sigma methodologies to reduce costs/improve services
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years Transportation Analyst experience
  • APICS certification - CSCP preferred
  • Hazmat Training and Certification for IATA, IMDG and DOT preferred
  • Lithium Battery Training and Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of freight carrier policies and procedures
  • Six Sigma belt certified or in process (Red or Black)
  • SAP experience-Production-Order to ship, ERP; BW-reporting
  • Must be able to effectively manage internal and external customers to establish and maintain effective manager relationship
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must present a professional appearance and be capable of working with all levels of the organization
  • Must have the ability to prioritize work to meet required reporting and submission deadlines
  • Must be self-motivated, an independent contributor and team player, and negotiator, problem solver and facilitator
