The Senior Specialist, Marketing Campaigns & Communications supports cross-functional Marketing teams in the execution of Marketing tactics designed to support the strategic objectives set forth by the respective Business Units or client groups for all associated sales/communication channels. This role supports the development of fully integrated marketing campaigns that are designed to effectively craft and communicate "the story" about the assigned portfolio of products or corporate initiatives, and works with cross-functional Marketing teams to bring this story to life. This position demonstrates ownership and initiative, effectively collaborates and communicates with agencies and internal stakeholders, and implements communications campaigns leveraging internal and external resources.

The Senior Specialist, Marketing Campaigns & Communications performs copy-writing and content development as well as campaign management and reporting. This role also creates and generates copy with clear communication of product, technology, and value-propositions for their respective category, across a variety of media platforms. This includes (but is not limited to); Creative briefs, Marketing Guideline Document, Campaign briefs, positioning statements, social content, blogs, and video scripts.

Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing Campaigns & Communication: Supporting Strategic Development & Content Creation

  • Support the execution of strategic initiatives, campaign activities and marketing tactics to support the stated objectives
  • Form strong partnerships with product marketing, channel marketing, and sales to ensure deliverables, meet goals, objectives and expectations to target vertical markets
  • Develop a strong depth of knowledge on the assigned product categories and their target audiences in order to grasp the value proposition, key differentiators and positioning strategy; apply this knowledge to all associated content to maximize the impact of our 'story'
  • Under the direction of leadership, manage the day-to-day communications with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish strategic objectives; obtain necessary consent and provide final approval on all communication materials and plans
  • Organize and prioritize assignments and projects with the ability to drive an overall project management process and to effectively manage deadlines and budgets

Reporting & Analytics

  • Work closely with the Marketing teams to create, implement, and measure the success of comprehensive communications programs that will increase the organization's image and brand position within the marketplace - supporting the execution of programs within the framework of the customer's omni-channel experience
  • Support the development of a regular & proactive cadency of communications reporting/analytics dashboards and/or presentations to key stakeholders

Content Development

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for content creation, copywriting and editing for ongoing marketing efforts: creative, campaign management, product marketing, advertising, PR, web production video scripts, and legal
  • Understand marketing plans, including objectives and strategies and how the copy/content adheres to the marketing strategy
  • Ensure that all content is proofed, accurate, on-brand, within legal guidelines and ready for delivery or posting

Process and Project Management

  • Prioritize work effectively to strongly adhere to the project management process, managing deadlines, release dates, workflow and within budget
  • Ensure proper workflow across multiple groups, remaining cognizant of the dependencies of their work in relation to the overall project
  • Utilization of strong communication skills with direct manager and all other stakeholders to ensure alignment and visibility

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or related field

Minimum 5 years' experience working in a Marketing Campaigns & Communications function, to include:

  • Supporting the development of content strategy that effectively communicates key product features and helps achieve business objectives
  • Copywriting and copy editing in a variety of platforms (email, social, digital content, campaign messaging, print, copy/messaging for product packaging)
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Spanish language skills are preferred

  • Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Storytelling expertise with the ability to translate technical product features into a compelling story in the form of press releases, emails, digital/web content, product packaging, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to create and deliver ideas and concepts in an effective manner to internal partners and agencies
  • Proficient verbal presentation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance/direction to optimize project flow
