We are looking for a Senior Scheduler to join our Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) Program Management team. This role will report to the Deputy Project Director, Business Operations.

Location:

  • Option 1: Hybrid remote and onsite in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada (3-week rotation)
  • Option 2: Full time onsite in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

Qualifications:
  • Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Years of Experience Required:
  • 5-8+ years of scheduling experience in complex construction projects
  • 5+ years of experience with scheduling tools, Primavera preferred
  • Experience using Aveva, Creo View, Windchill, MS Excel or AutoCAD would be considered an asset
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques
  • Familiar with schedule risk analysis using Monte-Carlo method
  • Knowledge of Shipbuilding practices, stage of construction, new build, routing, etc.
  • High levels of familiarization with ship construction terminology preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team, but also confident to work unsupervised
All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creation and maintenance of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Analyze the IMS and develop "what if" scenarios for in progress activities / new scenarios
  • Integrate sub-schedules into IMS (Primavera/Aveva)
  • Ensure schedule alignment with build strategy
  • Work breakdown structure (WBS) development
  • Multiple project / master schedule development
  • Develop progress reports based on Earned Value techniques
  • Prepare and maintain progress and other report
