Projects the candidate will be working on:

• Building Test Automation for various applications within the Virtual care platform focusing more on API automation, UI automation.

Team and Team size:

• Part of an agile team.
• One of various OVC agile teams, with approximately 10-12 members.

Top Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and implement automated tests for various applications in a fast-paced environment
• Build automated tests for API transactions
• Collaborate with other SDET/Engineers in automation principles
• Write and execute ATDD (Acceptance Test Driven Development)
• Manage test data for automation
• Debug software and perform reviews of automation and application code
• Engineer solutions that collect and report test results through various metrics reporting tools, example Sonar
• Develop in-depth system and product knowledge
• Constantly evaluate the test automation strategy and approach to identify areas of improvement (i.e. test automation frameworks, dynamic data collection methodologies, coding standards, components and object repository methods, etc.)
• Share and communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to staff, business sponsors, managers, and technical resources in clear concise language that is appropriate to the target audience
• Partner with product owners and developers to identify areas for improved efficiencies
• Research and implement tools that support delivery
• Assist with DevOps support

Software tools/skills:

• Various test automation and software development tools and skills...see below
• 7+ years of testing automation experience across complex platform environments using tools like Selenium Web driver, TestNG
• 5+ years of API automation experience with one of these tools SOAP UI, Karate, RestAssured
• 5+ years of experience of a combination of java development and test experience
• 3+ years of experience using BDD tools like Cucumber or JBehave
• 3+ years of experience performing Cross browser UI automation using SauceLabs or similar tools.
• Strong coding experience is a must - Java/ Typescript
• Experience with writing complex SQL queries
• Experience with test estimations, test environment set-up, test strategizing and test management
• Experience working with Agile methodologies/Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration processes
• Proficiency in TDD / ATDD frameworks
• Proficiency in Manual Testing
• Proficiency in Automation Testing

Nice to have:

• GraphQL, Experience with DevOps..

Working Time:

• 8-4 CST, but depending on team, may need to be regularly availably by 7am CST for stand-up / gromming / colab sessions to accommodate overlap between US and India team-members.
