In this software development role, you will be responsible for developing software applications using sound, repeatable, industry standard methodologies. You will have the opportunity to work hands-on writing software or solutions, based on detailed requirements and system specifications. Development activities will include updating existing software and/or developing new software solutions to address a specific need or solve a particular business problem. Additionally, you will drive development activities in accordance with appropriate methodologies and application of a repeatable, systematic and quantifiable approach to the development process. You will coach/mentor software developers and will review the software being developed. This role will also work closely with architects and/or data scientists to ensure code alignment with design patterns/frameworks.

The GM team develops, maintains & supports various technology platforms in support of overall workflow solutions at GM. These platforms are mission critical, and integral to providing world-class service to our external and internal clients. This is a great opportunity to join a highly visible team working on a new and exciting product at GM.This Senior Pega Developer/ Software Engineer role will work closely with partners in the business, assisting in support of complex user rules and tables. The selected candidate will be a key member of the scrum team, leading and working on core development initiatives. The Senior Pega Developer will collaborate with requirements analysts, programmers and testers to coordinate delivery of software products. This is a senior level position, and as such works under minimal supervision, with minimal guidance, providing technical direction and system architecture for the team.


    Additional Job Description

    Required Skills
    • Demonstrated success in full lifecycle PEGA implementations (preferably PEGA 7 and 8) including live implementation in PEGA.
    • Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA)
    • Strong understanding & knowledge of PEGA concepts and implementation experience with PEGA connectors, performance tuning, decision trees, listeners, UI design, Integration, Security Model etc.
    • Experience with performance measurement tools like PAL, SMA, Alerts and PLA.

    Specific Pega skills/experience:
    • PEGA Direct Capture of Objectives - 5 years' experience preferred
    • PEGA PRPC Use Case Development 5 years' experience preferred
    • Converting business into process flow 5 years' experience preferred
    • PRPC version 7.1.x , Prefer Pega 8.x.

    Other Required Skills/ Experience
    • Experience in all phases of software development lifecycle including analysis, design, implementation, testing and deployment
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
    • Ability to create reusable components that can be leveraged across the enterprise for providing top-notch customer experience.
    • Perform regular code and design reviews.
