Overview

This position is vital in supporting senior management with supply chain network cost analysis. The supply chain network cost analysis is used to evaluate and develop strategic supply chain flows while incorporating evolving market locations through acquisitions. The incumbent is responsible for analyzing and reporting on proposed actions related to the design of HbI's global supply chain, which will ensure we maintain our low-cost advantage. This position will work on various global supply chain transformation projects, capital expenditure projections/reporting during the execution of this strategy and forecasting the financial impact of strategic initiatives for the purpose of recommending potential locations for future supply chain operations. The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to work closely with finance and operations, to think independently, and be able to deliver results in a timely manner. The nature of the data involved will require the incumbent to possess high integrity in handling highly confidential information. The incumbent will also be required to assist in month end and planning summarization of supply chain costs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning supply chain costs for annual corporate financial plans and long term strategic planning.
  • Modeling of global supply chain network for optimization of HBI's manufacturing and distribution costs.
  • Provide guidance on inflation factors of global input costs for HBI pricing decisions.
  • Contribute board and investor relations information for Group Pres Global SC/IT/E-Comm and CFO; providing macro level corporate statistics and cost information.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing team on strategic costing of $1.8 Billion of Annual Purchases.
  • Issue guidance to Purchasing on the impact of factor costs to drive favorable price changes from vendors.
  • Projection of synergies opportunities from acquisitions to the Corporate Development team.
  • Works on the LRP planning process as a member of a cross-functional team (along with PMO, Strategic Planning, and offshore VP of Operations partners).
  • Provide leadership and direction for strategic projects from development of FAA narrative and financial metrics to tracking of progress and end-state results.

Qualifications

  • Required Education: B.S. in Accounting / Finance / Business
  • Required Experience: Seven years
  • Preferred Education/Certification: CPA
  • Minimum 4-year undergraduate degree or 2 - 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Accounting, Supply Chain Business Planning, and/or Finance is required.
  • CMA or MBA (candidate) is required.
  • Advanced, highly competent computer skills required with extensive experience in Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical skills and deep understanding of business financial metrics, especially pertaining to supply chain finance and manufacturing accounting.
  • Must be able to work at a detailed level with high accuracy, as well as be able to analyze at a strategic 'big-picture' level.
  • Must be able to function in a fast-paced deadline oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with Executive management, Finance, Manufacturing/Operations, Capacity Planning, Distribution and I/T.
  • This person possesses leadership capabilities and has a sense of urgency to drive quick turn results.
  • Candidate has analytical/problem solving techniques and results driven. Must follow through on commitments and builds relationships across functional groups to foster teamwork.
  • Key development milestones include build/attain/grow in depth knowledge of HBI's supply chain including: general understanding of HBI product constructions, develop/maintain understanding of the costing process of products and the key drivers of cost, focused following of global factors that impact HBI supply chain (inflationary pressure on markets for cotton, oil, labor; on-going trade relations and tariff laws & proposals).
  • This person must support the vision/strategy of supply chain manufacturing, sourcing and planning departments. This includes delivering accurate and timely analysis of potential supply chain flows using current and wide-out (inflation projections) and maintaining data bank of latest cost drivers to deliver ad-hoc requests based on specific deliverables that change from analysis to analysis.
