Position Overview

As the Financial Planning and Reporting Systems Sr Manager you will be designing, developing and deploying technology and consistent processes in support of the financial planning, forecasting and reporting processes for Americas Materials (AMAT). This involves partnering Finance and Information technology to lead and drive improvements to the accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of the reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes leveraging existing and new technologies. Monitoring and ensuring the performance of the current environment of Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) with a strong customer focus is also key. You will work cross functionally with the AMAT Corporate Finance, Regional Finance, AMAT FP&A, global FP&A team, and IT to successfully deploy solutions to improve these processes.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Hyperion Planning and HFM to the new EPM cloud based environment.
  • All aspects are included including FCCS, PBCS, Capexm, Strategic Planning and Reporting.
  • Key Stakeholder in the planning and definition of Financial Planning and Reporting systems (Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Forecasting).
    • Identifying key processes that reside in financial systems to efficiently execute the financial planning, forecasting, and reporting functions.
    • Documenting as is financial consolidation and month end close reporting process and working with key stakeholders to develop the future state.
    • Direct on how to leverage Oracle EPM enabling flexibility and adaptability within the AMAT to capture the most benefits.
  • Responsible for the System Development, Deployment and Maintenance of Financial Planning and Reporting systems.
    • Responsible for the development and maintenance of Americas Materials financial reporting systems, including and not limited to Hyperion financial management, Hyperion Planning and Enterprise Performance Management.
    • Responsible for the ownership of the consolidation framework that ensures accurate consolidation and financial reporting.
    • Maintain integrity of chart of accounts and related cross mapping between financial systems.
    • Manage Hyperion-based forecast, budget, volumes, and acquisition tracking systems.
    • Identify and resolve issues critical to operational success.
  • Drive efficiency in FP&A processes by
    • Deploying technology to drive automation and best practices with forecasting and planning processes.
    • Solve key business problems and challenges by enabling business transformation and charting a journey from the current consolidation state to a "to-be" enterprise environment.
    • Support improved processes through Identification of opportunities to bring innovative technology solutions (e.g., Cloud, RPA, Blockchain, AI, etc.).
    • Stay on top of current regulations, trends, and technologies influencing finance consolidation, analytics, and the CFO ecosystem.

  • Project Management and Delivery
    • Oversee and manage projects and design of the systems within the Financial Planning and Reporting Environment. This will be at time across functional team (Finance, IT).
    • Prioritize and delegate projects and tasks for the department.
    • Ensuring transparency and accountability for tasks and deliverables.
    • Effectively communicate project risks/issues with proposed solutions.
  • Communication of key business and technical concepts transparently, timely in a manner that is audience appropriate.
  • Manage the resources and allocation of the resources available within the department.
    • Develop and mentor direct reports, building a top performing team (attract and keep talent).
    • Ensure effective cross training of team members.
    • Ensure process documentation is developed and maintained up to date.
  • Responsible for Vendor relationship management dealing with the Financial Planning and Reporting systems solutions.
  • Ensure SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation and providing recommendations.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Expertise in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and EPM, Hyperion financial management, Hyperion Planning and Enterprise Performance Management; Essbase.
  • Experience in complex consolidation, COA design, joint venture accounting.
  • At least 10+ years' experience in EPM Cloud/Essbase, Hyperion Planning or Hyperion Financial Management.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Project and Program Management.
  • Accounting, Finance Hands on experiences.
  • Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of financial ERP's and other financial systems to drive execution of forecasting and planning processes.
  • Strong knowledge of FP&A processes from corporate organizations through the region/country Planning Analysts.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Manage a department of 3+ employees.
  • At least One full life cycle experience of design and implementation of Planning applications.
  • Must be highly skilled in Excel and Hyperion or other Multi-Dimensional consolidation software; Oracle Data Integration (ODI), FDM, MS SQL Server experience a plus.
  • Must manage complexity and be able to multi-task, be detailed oriented and possess strong organizational skills.

  • Must have expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must be 18 years in age or older.

  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
