POSITION PROFILE

Implements IS functions and programs that are aligned with organization's objectives to maximize employee performance and create an environment for employees to enhance their professional growth and career development.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clearly establishes job expectations and consequences by conducting periodic employee Performance Appraisals, establishing training agendas and consequences and consistently following-up on employee results achieved.
  • Manages the people development of employees by focusing resources on their continual training and development through internal and external sources.
  • Deals with issues proactively by anticipating change and managing issues proactively.
  • Develops and maintains high personal visibility, credibility and trust within District or Corporate Utility.
  • Serves as core member of Senior IS Management Team. Counsels & advises senior management teams, for all business lines, within the District or Corporate Utility, on all IS related issues.
  • Holds direct reports accountable for proactively identifying and communicating IS issues that impact the District or Corporate Utility's ability to meet business objectives. As trends develop, provides factual feedback to management, identifying business solutions from an IS perspective.
  • Assists line managers in developing skills to manage IS Departments more effectively through modeling, coaching, instruction and training.
  • Provides ongoing feedback to senior management to assist in policy creation.
  • Manages projects and/or participate as a project member on IS initiatives as assigned.
  • Hires, trains, coaches and supports direct reports.
  • Develops written and oral presentations that have high clarity and impact. Provides regular written reports as needed to senior management.
  • Interacts with management to identify IS process needs and possible solutions. Provides feedback on the modification and /or improvement of Ricoh-wide IS programs, practices and policies to meet the needs of the corporation.
  • Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the local IS team under direction from Director. Participates in developing goals, objectives and systems.
  • Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department at the region and corporate level in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

  • Requires 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • Requires 7 years of related experience and appropriate technical training /management training.
  • Requires proven track record of progressive technology experience at a manager level.
  • Requires knowledge of Microsoft products, Internet software and protocols; project management and networking experience are a plus.
  • Requires extensive experience with call tracking software and reporting.
