Primary Function of this Position:

The A/V Deployment & Operations Leader is responsible for overseeing and leading the design, coordination and maintenance of audio visual, production and technology services. Manage globally deployed conference room, digital signage & live event infrastructure that runs natively on Zoom Meetings platform. Manage Zoom enabled legacy Cisco conference room infrastructure to ensure seamless user experience. Support facilities with ongoing new construction projects with Zoom Rooms based AV standards and deployments. Stay in touch with latest AV trends and vendor roadmap and build 3-year roadmap to solve Intuitive Surgical business needs for effective collaboration and communication.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Build the organization to design, engineer, and support audio/visual, event and meeting platforms.
  • Be proactive and knowledgeable on video conferencing and live events technologies and products; and provide ongoing and forward-looking roadmap for our next 3 years initiatives
  • Study user behavior & usage pattern to determine right choices for audio/visual and meeting platforms.
  • Focus on improving user experience
  • Use facts (data & analytics) to drive investment decisions
  • Train – Educate employees on audio/visual and meeting platforms
  • Measure & metric effectiveness of audio/visual systems
  • Understand employees’ current challenges and experience, new roles and responsibilities, demographic changes in the workforce, globalization initiatives, changes in organizational structure, and hiring and skills requirements. Incorporates this knowledge into audio/visual workplace planning
  • Works closely with facilities management to create a physical workspace design that complements its virtual design.
  • Seeks out new technology trends in audio/visual and meeting systems that should be brought into the workplace. Works closely with infrastructure, project management office and procurement.
  • Establishes a methodology for consistent implementation services such as procurement, provisioning, deployment, training and promotion.

Skill/Job Requirements:

  • Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills, including the ability to mobilize and motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace, and execute with limited information and ambiguity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
  • Ability to promote innovative ideas and accept the risks that are required to lead change
  • Experience with new build construction projects including AV and lighting specific facility impacts (HVAC coordination, lighting control, etc.).
  • Able to foster and build a collaborative working relationship with various stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations, and proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders
  • More than 8 years of progressive digital workplace design and engineering experience with an emphasis on audio/visual technologies
  • Competent in project management, governance formulation, and team management
  • Experience in leading projects and programs within and outside IT, as well as those that involved external providers
  • Experience working as an AV integrator
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or equivalent, required
