Job Summary:
We are interested and searching for a senior manager, for our Real Property Tax who will report to a Senior Director. In this role, you will be assisting with achieving the service line's business objectives through adoption and management of initiatives; expand and strengthen client relationships; primary focus on project management and account settlement; and share technical expertise with others. This is a hybrid role.
Key Responsibilities:
Protect, renew, and expand existing client engagements
Uphold standards for service by clearly communicate project objectives, results, and other information to the client in a way that promotes confidence in Altus work product and technical knowledge
Seek to be a trusted advisor of all clients
Determining scope and action plan for projects in the client property jurisdiction.
Closely monitor project status to ensure project completion, timely decision making, and appropriate use of staff resources
Actively manage consultant workload on own projects and with other managers to ensure the proper resources are assigned to appropriate steps of the project
Ensure all systems are updated by team members for appeal reports, appeal filing deadlines, and revenue forecasting
Presenting cases and communicating technical matters to authorities in order to negotiate settlements or advance the client appeal(s)
Clearly articulate technical matters to stakeholders at various levels
Use of good judgment on settlement offers/acceptance and knowing when to involve others in decision making
Assist with development industry/jurisdiction specific positions that can be utilized across client portfolios.
Assist leadership with implementation of department initiatives. Provide analysis, project management, and/or research support as requested
Key Qualifications:
Undergraduate / Bachelor's degree
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role Valuation experience with real estate and working knowledge of County Assessment & Property Tax Rules
ITAM, OneSource, Siger, and or Database experience is an asset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Outlook and Advanced Excel skills
Excellent communication skills
Project management skills and ability to respond to client request
Deliver valuation projects in a timely manner and provide presentation of these valuation exhibits to the County Appraisers & Boards
Possess the ability to address engagements with clients/prospects to for expanding existing business and new business
