Serves as university representative responsible for dissemination of information through various forms of presentations to internal and external groups affiliated with or interested in FSU research and IP; represents department at designated local, regional, and national intellectual property programs, conferences, business meetings and related events; develops office marketing plan and oversees social media strategy, trends, reporting and success rate campaigns. Responsible for day to day training, guidance and mentorship to junior staff members and department intern(s). Assist with special projects as designated by the director on an as needed basis, as well as acts on the Director's behalf in their absence.
Provide hands-on support to Office of Commercialization programs and events to include, but not limited to: university internal distribution of grants, events displaying University technologies/intellectual property, faculty and staff recognition events, and any other program, projects or events that Office of Commercialization is involved in or supports. Other duties as assigned as it relates to the administration of commercialization of research endeavors at FSU.
Represent the University in a variety of local, state, and national venues that promote university-industry collaboration.
Requires a Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of relevant experience. (Note: Higher education may be accepted at the equivalent rate.)

Ability to represent the University in appointed area as required.
Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.

Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
Ability to develop and implement a successful marketing plan/strategy.

This is a soft money funded position, with renewal based on available funds and the needs of the University.
ScheduleMonday - Friday, 8am-5pm, with occassional attendance at events after 5pm.
