RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a fully remote Senior Java Developer to join their team.Overview:The client works heavily on API's/Microservices using Java 11+ and Spring boot (and also a little GO). This app is still hosted in PCF, but they plan to move to GCP long term. This team also has a small responsibility of helping the teams implement new monitoring tools and tools such as pager duty. The team is also responsible for testing their own code so understanding how to unit test is important. Lastly, communication is key as they work hand in hand with other delivery planner teams (inventory replenishment is the next step after purchase order). The client is open to SE2 (mid-level) through senior engineers. They really need candidates to hit the ground running and needs strong core backend development skills along with DevOps best practices.REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-6+ years of Java (11+)
- 2-3+ years of Spring boot
- Experience with cloud (GCP preferred)
- Experience with CI/CD, monitoring and tools such as PagerDuty
- Experience writing unit tests
- Ability to articulate the why's (why you are coding something)
- Curiosity - the desire to learn, ask questions and be a team player
- Lastly, communication is massive, it is an absolute must have to understand the why's and be able to articulate the reasoning behind why you are coding in a language and what you are coding
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
