*This position is temporarily eligible for Work from Home until our offices reopen in El Paso, TX, Dallas, TX, Irvine, CA, and New York, NY. Once our offices reopen you will be required to report to the office.

What you'll be doing:
Our Sr Financial System Administrator will be tasked with using both finance and systems process skills to craft and supervise Close and Consolidation system tools - currently, Hyperion EPM, including Financial Management (HFM), Financial Close Manager (FCM), Account Reconciliation Management (ARM) as well as Essbase Reporting, FDMEE, DRM, and SmartView. This role will also help own the global support for Hyperion users. Most work is performed in situations requiring both contribution and partnership. This is an outstanding position that involves interaction with both the IT and global Finance groups and requires the ability to occasionally respond to off-hour support issues during high-priority periods.


  • Support Finance system applications specific to the monthly/quarterly close process across all active environments (Dev, and Prod).

  • Maintain processes used to support consolidations and financial reporting for the global finance teams.

  • Support pre- and post-close activities utilizing account reconciliation and financial close solutions, as well as data integrations between ERP and financial systems for post-close reporting.

  • Support all database administrative related activities, including but not limited to, maintaining several alternate hierarchies across global teams and crafting different scenarios and versions by copying subsets of data for financial reporting.

  • Support data mapping solution to maintain data integrity of data being extracted and uploaded into appropriate cubes for financial close activities.

  • Provide backup support of data management solution and ensure that ERP data is included in all appropriate financial system cubes.

  • Demonstrate a keen understanding of accounting procedures, including the financial close process, creation of public company financial documents, and financial consolidations.

  • Proactively support end-users and IT teams to resolve technical and functional issues, participating in cross-functional finance systems and business operational improvement projects/enhancements.

  • Identify new system requirements and build/document testing scenarios for system updates and improvements.

  • Interpret and analyze business requirements submitted on change requests, ensuring accurate standard methodology requirements have been detailed for the change and that business review and approval are collected.

  • Perform maintenance activities for all close and consolidation system tools.

  • Serve as system architect for all development related to applications, automation, and reporting specific to close and consolidation system tools.

  • Proactively identify standard methodologies and improvements vital for an outstanding systems environment.
Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Previous experience managing projects and advising/supervising external consulting partners.

  • Detailed understanding of accounting/finance concepts and the ability to understand sophisticated financial software applications.

  • Must possess strong customer focus and command skills, be comfortable implementing change, and taking care of ambiguity.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Prior experience with the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems with a consistent track record in financial reporting systems in an Accounting/FP&A setting.

  • 5+ years of relevant Finance and IT work experience including, but not limited to consolidation and reporting, financial close process, and comprehensive technical skills with server administration (on-prem).

  • 5+ years' experience with Hyperion Reporting, Essbase, and HFM, or other ERP/EPM software.

  • 3+ years' experience with additional Hyperion products such as FDMEE, DRM, ARM, FCM & SmartView, or other Financial Close software

  • 3+ years shown experience in a lead role, guiding, and influencing internal cross-functional teams.

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
