As the Senior Financial Analyst on the Controls Finance Team you will report to one of our Brand Finance Managers. This position supports the Roundup, Ortho and Controls brand teams, as well as our private label team. Primary responsibilities will include development of analysis to support respective business partners, tracking and reporting of key metrics (e.g., weekly POS, monthly financial results), and execution of critical financial processes (e.g., budget; monthly, quarterly and year end close; forecast; and intercompany cash settlements). Other responsibilities include monitoring provision for inventory expense and business actions to minimize this expense, financial analysis for potential product launches, SKU rationalization, and other ad hoc analyses and reports for the benefit of various marketing and finance leaders. This role also provides a unique opportunity to assist the private label team in procuring new business through pricing quotes and analyzing the profitability of existing work. The person in this role will need to be flexible and prioritize effectively, and will need to work effectively in teams and also independently. This role will be instrumental in enhancing the ability of Brand Finance to improve its business partnership with the operators we support.

In this role you will:

  • Responsible for executing key processes to ensure timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end processes are followed
  • Development of analysis utilized for business decisions
  • Key metric reporting: POS, Shipments, Key Launches/Initiatives, Profitability
  • Key role in critical finance processes, including budget, forecast, financial statement close, and account reconciliations and analysis
  • Calculating and processing weekly and monthly cash flow settlements based on 3rd party agreement
  • Ensure accurate financial reports are provided to 3rd party based on agency agreement
  • Product lifecycle management: E&O analysis, SKU rationalization
  • Research, collaborate and assist in preparing variance analysis based on financials results and strategic decisions

The perfect person will have:
  • Three to five years of professional accounting of finance experience
  • Experience with SAP R/3 a plus
  • Four-year degree in finance or accounting is required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet established deadlines while maintaining a high degree of quality and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience
  • Strong initiative and leadership, ability to work with minimal direction
  • Ability to manage projects effectively and work cross-functionally with various departments
  • Ability to effectively analyze and evaluate problems

Some other nice to have's:
  • CPA, MBA or other professional designation
