Dow has an exciting opportunity for Senior Environmental Technicians in Orange, TX!

The Senior Environmental Technician shares responsibility for the implementation of the EH&S management system, in order to meet business objectives and to maintain the license to operate with a primary focus on Environmental. Provides hands-on environmental, and health and safety (H&S) activities for a specific plant. Requires full proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on the job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. Acts as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Implements detailed, task level, day to day EH&S programs, utilizing the EH&S work process, standards and procedures.
  • Ensures that the Environmental aspects of operating discipline are adequate and applied to achieve EH&S performance goals. In most cases, would perform the role of section owner for the EH&S sections of operating discipline.
  • Acts as the Plant resource for related EH&S information on procedures, guidelines and standards.
  • Serves as plant contact for Environmental issues.
  • Coaches teams and individuals on EH&S related tasks and activities.
  • Assists in developing and achieving area or plant EH&S goals.
  • Ensures compliance tasks are completed.
  • Performs/coordinates certain Environmental monitoring, data collection, analyzing and reporting for the Plant.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a EH&S, manufacturing or other related experience.
  • Current, valid US driver's license.
  • Willing and able to work overtime as needed.
  • One of the sites that this position would support, requires a TWIC card. For this role, you must possess a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card.   • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Experience:

  • Associate's Degree in related field and/or 4+ years of relevant Military training.
