Overview

This position is primarily responsible for all applications, data and reporting applications across the enterprise. The focus will be developing the overall applications architecture to support the business objectives and needs, while implementing policies and procedures. The Sr. Director, IT Enterprise Applications will be responsible for the strategic and tactical implementation, management, and optimization of the many software products utilized throughout our business. This includes purchased applications, integration development, and custom software development.

The Sr Director of IT Application Services will partner with business leaders, PMO, IT staff, and the CIO to direct the applications organization to meet the needs of the business.

This position will be critical in innovating, transforming and enhancing business processes and capabilities that provide solutions for our business while at the same time laying the foundation for future technology advances.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drives the strategy, architecture, and implementation of enterprise systems (or best of breed solution) to serve as the foundation for business growth
  • Steers and influences applications product management in partnership with business stakeholders. Drives the technical delivery of those roadmaps
  • Manages the overall applications architecture and developing roadmap to implement applications according to business needs
  • Communicates on a regular basis with the CIO and IT regarding strategic priorities
  • Partners with business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver the best process improvements, enabled by technology
  • Builds a high performing applications team to support the day to day and future needs of the company
  • Implements applications in compliance with Security, software development processes and IT General Controls
  • Works with Enterprise & IT PMOs to help prioritize and track IT application and data projects
  • Evaluates current and future and selects software that best fits the company's needs
  • Estimates and operates within a set fiscal year budget
  • Manages a pipeline of software application requests from the business in conjunction with PMO
  • Develops and implements comprehensive tools and strategies that allow raw data to be transformed into business insights
  • Establishes data and reporting architecture and roadmap and establish data integration strategy

Education & Experience

  • BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years leading medium to large size teams in design, development, and deployment of systems.
  • Broad knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems, Information Technology Support methodologies, and basic Software Applications
  • JD Edwards, Hyperion, and Salesforce experience
