Job Summary
The Senior Digital Designer, Creative Services creates innovative, eye-catching, and effective digital designs for email, social and digital marketing campaigns. This role owns the design of all internal and external email campaigns, social graphics/videos/"how to" (step by step instructions and videos), and
is responsible for setting the overall visual style and direction for the Creative Services Team. This role requires a strong background in graphic design, email design, and creating social content that drives engagement; the candidate must have a digital portfolio that showcases the breadth of work.

Duties and Responsibilities

Creative Process

  • Leads the email creative process by presenting well-developed and strategic creative solutions to meet all project objectives
  • Transforms marketing and product concepts into visually compelling social and email layouts through the usage of design elements such as typography, imagery, and illustration
  • Ideate and illustrate and/or design high-quality images that match the needs of the brand, campaign, and channel under tight timelines
  • Creates and maintains visual style guides for the social and email marketing departments and collaborates with cross-division resources on brand guidelines
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of modern email and social design trends, research, and best practices incorporate them into the design and evangelize them both inside the department and in Brother as a whole

Collaboration & Project Management

  • Collaborates with the creative team to build and maintain an asset inventory of Brother images for models and lifestyle to be used for dynamic email campaigns and other web properties
  • Handle critical deadlines and short turnarounds in a fast-paced, social media environment (turnaround times can vary from a few hours for simpler projects to a few days to a few months) while staying within budget constraints
  • Aggregate and utilize existing assets, photography, and add design elements to produce promotional assets to run on social media

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) Graphic Design, Web/Social Design or related field
  • Minimum 5 years -Experience in executing digital design projects, including but not limited to: Graphic design, social posts, content development, and project management
  • Experience working with business stakeholders to meet desired results digital/web
  • Social media platforms (IG, FB, YouTube, Twitter)
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator); basic motion graphics understanding
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Able to work efficiently across multiple projects and platforms, with multiple stakeholders while ensuring on-time delivery
  • Able to learn the Brother's voice and knows how to communicate
  • Strong visual storytelling skills
  • Strong understanding of email and social platforms, producing design for email
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively across teams
  • Good knowledge of recent design trends as well as general aesthetics: layout, grid systems, color theory, and typography
  • Ability to champion improvements by considering market analysis, consumer feedback, site metrics, and user research findings
