Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Business Technology (NBT)is seekingqualified applicants for the SeniorBuyerposition. The specific responsibilities of the Senior Buyer include, but are not limited to:
- Software contract negotiations.
- Analyze and recommend process improvements for the Purchasing department.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices as needed.
- Traininternal teammates to issue their purchase requisitions correctly.
- Be a source of information for the Purchasing department toall teammates.
- Exhibit a high level of quality customer serviceto the Nucor team.
This is a fulltime, permanent position with the NBT Purchasing team and is based in Irving, TX. Some travel will be required.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years experience with Oracle EBS
- 1 year experience in contract negotiation
- Associate's degree in Business, IT, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Business, IT or arelatedfield
- Experience in the IT industry
- Experience with OracleEBS and/or PSI
- Proven experience in negotiating with vendors
