Essential Functions and Primary Duties:
•Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate tax services including state and local tax planning, research, and other mergers and acquisitions activities
•Work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team that focuses on delivering due diligence and tax structuring services and communicates findings and opportunities to clients
•Liaise with a target company's finance/accounting departments and tax advisors to gather pertinent facts for an analysis of the tax risks
•Assist and advise clients on post-acquisition integration activities for state and local taxes
• Demonstrate understanding of the client's business including analysis and planning of client
engagements
• Demonstrate good business writing skills and provide effective communication with internal and external clients
• Possesses general understanding of state and local income, franchise, gross receipts, property, sales, use and other tax concepts, as well as unclaimed property
• Adhere to engagement budget constraints and complete assigned tasks within the time
requested, explain variances when needed
• Achieve charge hour goals
• Review associates' accounting, tax or auditing work: provide constructive review points
• May supervise Associate's on engagements
• Train and mentor associate staff
• May be involved in the client billing process by assisting Managers or Directors
• Identify and begin to develop knowledge in selected specialty practice
• Leverage industry knowledge and business acumen blending cross serve opportunities into client
engagements
• Participate in practice development activities such as: membership in qualified organizations
capable of referring potential engagements
• Execute administrative duties as assigned
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Requirements:
• Master's degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field
• A minimum of 3 years of experience performing tax research and providing technical advice on multi-state tax issues in a public accounting firm or a corporate tax department
• 1 year supervisory experience
• CPA candidates

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required
• 3 years of experience in public accounting or related field
• Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as
necessary
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization,
both internally and externally
• Proficient use of applicable technology
• Must be able to travel based on client and business needs

The estimated rate of pay for this job is $80,000-$100,000/year, which may vary based on education, experience, geographic location, or other job-related factors.
