Description: Our client is currently seeking a Security Systems Engineer. This position can be fully remote but must work on EST hours. This position is NOT open to Corp-to-corp or Independent Contractors.

SENIOR ENGINEER ROLE

Project and the day-to-day responsibilities:

The Tenant Security Framework (TSF) team leads the network micro segmentation cybersecurity efforts across cloud platforms. The TSF team has micro segmentation embedded in modern cloud environments as well as a micro segmentation agent solution, called TSF-MSN, to secure systems hosted on older platforms ("Legacy Environments").

The TSF Acceleration Sr Engineer Candidate will support teams with decisions on how to properly structure applications to fit into company's segmentation model. This includes working with architects, engineers and development teams to design and implement automated segmentation controls to support the adoption of the TSF-MSN agent and/or migrate to a micro segmentation supported platform.

Core Responsibilities

•Work with application owners to understand their current architecture and ready the architecture for adoption into TSF (via TSF-MSN)

•Assist teams in identifying appropriate micro segmentation architecture for their applications

•Assist teams in identifying required network flows

•Assist teams in deploying the TSF-MSN software agent

•Assist teams in troubleshooting

•Help teams solve deployment issues as they arise

•Develop reusable templates for the migration/adoption of the micro segmentation technology

•Identify security solution technical requirements and specifications

•Applies complex technical and security solutions to business problems.

•Presents and communicates complex concepts to a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders.

•Assists stakeholders with facilitation of security technology planning activities, documentation of implementations, innovation and security tool rationalization.

What are the top three MUST HAVE skill sets (technical) that are required?

•Strong understanding of application architecture and networking security technologies

•Strong working and practical knowledge of TCP/IP and UDP/IP networking

•Must have experience with virtual, elastic, and cloud compute

What are top three PREFERRED skill sets (technical)?

1.Familiarity with application architecture and deployment models

2.Cloud/Virtualization experience (AWS preferred, Azure, Openstack, GCP, Kubernetes)

3.Experience documenting application interactions and large scale architectures

Soft Skill requirements (team fit/personality requirements)

•Ability to understand existing application architecture and educate teams on how to transition to a new model

•Strong written and verbal technical communication

•Self motivated / able to go from concept to prototype to specification

•Experience with Agile, including Scrum and/or Kanban
