The IT Digital Technology division is seeking a Scrum Master skilled at leading a large distributed team of engineers, business analyst and quality assurance resources for our biggest digital commerce life-style brand.

The successful candidate will provide digital commerce expertise (Magento) and frequent releases in an Agile environment and leading digital technology programs and projects to completion. The ideal candidate will coordinate and lead the activities of multiple multi-functional teams to complete projects in support of Helen of Troy's eCommerce business strategy and objectives.


  • Run projects and initiatives across the MarTech Stack.

  • Lead distributed teams simultaneously through Agile development, using Scrum and Kanban frameworks.

  • Establish and continually review team working contracts, including: Working Agreement, Definition of Done, and Definition of Ready.

  • Facilitate scrum ceremonies, such as: Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives.

  • Continually refine and mentor teams through Agile practices, with guidance from the Agile Manifesto and the 12 Principles.

  • Clear impediments blocking development by advancing to dependent teams, interested partners, or leadership

  • Coordinated weekly production releases with engineers and other dependent development teams to ensure a smooth release

  • Lead and utilize JIRA and Confluence to supervise and plan work for lead teams

  • Lead the project including Initiating, Development, Quality Planning, Resource Planning, Deployment, and post-launch hyper-care.

  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business sponsors, key partners, SMEs and project delivery technical team to establish creditability, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives.

  • Act as an advocate for Digital Technology PMO in applying methodology, processes and tools for adopting practices for Project delivery.

  • Serve as point-of-contact for solution integrators, development resources, agency or other external technology resources supporting digital technology initiatives.

  • Lead vendor engagement and selection of vendors.

  • Be a liaison between the business, delivery teams and corporate business entities. Work with the Product Owner on Product Roadmap and Backlog Priorities.

  • Lead scrum events such as the daily standup, demonstrations and post-launch retrospectives.


Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Digital commerce or marketing experience in global enterprise organization.

  • Strong Project Delivery experience with strong Direct to Consumer experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports business & digital strategic objectives.

  • Demonstrated ability in leading/driving project teams; 10+ on/offshore resources.

  • Shown success in supporting on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project landmarks.

  • Confirmed full Project Lifecycle ownership and solid previous experience in developing and deploying templates for medium to large size implementations to ensure predictability and consistency across the portfolio.

  • Solid experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall.

  • Possess strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations.

  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and contending demands.

  • Tools: JIRA, Confluence, Jama, MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information / Business Systems (MIS).

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience managing technology project notably ecommerce.

  • 2+ years of experience leading as a Scrum Master digital commerce.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MarTech Stack experience.

  • Magento experience.

  • PMP, Prince or another Project Management Certification.

  • 2+ years of experience in a consulting firm.
