Job Summary:

Mueller Water Products is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to serve multiple software development teams. The Scrum Master will act as a servant leader to the team helping to facilitate and coach teams on agile scrum practices. In addition, the Scrum Master will also be responsible for facilitating scrum rituals such as sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospective with focus on continuous improvement of individual teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coach and mentor multiple Scrum teams in use of Agile/SCRUM practices
  • Work with PO to establish sprint goal for each iteration
  • Lead team in agile rituals such as sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospectives
  • Track and report of team velocity metrics
  • Conduct Agile Project Planning and Management of "big rock" development efforts which cross multiple sprint boundaries through use of Epics
  • Identify and remove blocks that impact achievement of sprint goals
  • Foster collaborative, innovative, and trusting environment where team members can try, reach, and sometimes fail (mindfully) without fear of blame or retribution
  • Protect the team from distractions that may jeopardize the achievement of sprint goals
  • Assist with communication to outside stakeholders on development status, milestones, and software release plans

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years serving as Scrum Master for multiple Agile software teams
  • Certified SCRUM Master (CSM)
  • Expert level in Agile/SCRUM development practices
  • Experience acting as Scrum Master for multiple software development teams
  • Experience working with Agile techniques such as User Stories, Test-driven-development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD)
  • Knowledge or experience scaling Agile using standard framework such LeSS, Scrum of Scrums, or SAFe
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills

Preferred:
  • Knowledge or experience with Kanban Agile approach, implementing WIP limits, and use of Kaizen
  • Previous hands-on software development experience
