Are you our next SAP Solutions Architect Lead?

This role is eligible for a hybrid virtual office schedule.

The SAP Solutions Architect Lead will be a conduit between the business and the SAP systems who will oversee all the aspects of SAP system solutions. This person will suggest SAP system solutions based on business requirements, and then design and implement the solutions in SAP system. The SAP solutions architect Lead will be primarily responsible for a successful end to end design and implementation and maintenance of SAP solutions for Order to Cash, Transportation Management, Warehouse Management including integration with other SAP modules like MM, PM, FI/CO and non-SAP systems.

What will you do?

  • Lead the deployment, maintenance, upgrade and troubleshooting core business applications and systems
  • Work with Business Partner, Product Owner and Solution Manager to design future SAP roadmap
  • Evaluate and propose new SAP system solutions based on business requirements/ Future IT roadmap
  • Lead assigned portions of and/or participate in the development, analysis, prioritization, and organization of specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow
  • Lead and implement configuration of new system as per business requirements and not hesitate to define solution limitations
  • Optimize existing SAP system to run better and serve better
  • Implement best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and system performance
  • Work with Architects to ensure all systems integrate into the solution's technology stack
  • Communicate the solution context and intent, and align development stakeholders on the technical direction
  • Establish and enforce standards as part of the solution roadmap development
  • Provide technical assistance, guidance, and QA monitoring to other application support specialists and functional analysts and provide technical leadership and guidance to team management
  • Define and coordinate the execution of testing procedures, and develop test cases to serve the overall quality assurance process

Team Leadership
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for solution development in the assigned area
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to junior team members.
  • Serve as the first reviewer for work performed by junior team members
  • Other job duties and projects as assigned

What do you need for this role?
  • Associates degree required in Computer Science, Business or related field
  • Bachelor's degree preferred Computer Science, Business or related field
  • 7+ years of experience working with information technologies and systems analysis
  • For those candidates without an associate degree, 10+ years of experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of business processes, and how data and software applications support those processes
  • 5+ years SAP SD experience in implementing projects and supporting solutions
  • Knowledge of SAP MM, FI/CO with strong functional knowledge of the end to end Market to Cash processes
  • 5+ years of hands-on project experience in the design, configuration/development and delivery of business process solutions
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of the principles and practices associated with packaged and/or SaaS applications
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and frameworks such as Kanbanis desired
  • Experience working in the following SAP modules is required: Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Finance and Controlling (FICO)
  • Bonus if you have experience working in the following SAP modules Logistics Execution (LE), Quality Management (QM), Advance Planner and Optimizer (APO) and/or Railcar Extension (RCX)
  • Effective communicator with the ability to maintain a cohesive team
  • Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities
