Job Title: Salesforce Data Architect

Slalom is seeking an energetic, self-starter who wants to play a key role in defining and leading Salesforce data architecture initiatives on various client projects. The ideal candidate is passionate about designing data models and complex migration of data records and unstructured data from legacy systems and applications to Salesforce and other cloud platforms. This will require knowledge of data extraction, enrichment, transformation, loading, querying, profiling, and quality using a wide variety of data tools and applications.

This role is an exciting opportunity for folks who are passionate about data and want to work directly with clients to solve problems using modern technologies and next-generation cloud platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for designing, leading, and performing complex data migrations from legacy systems to the Salesforce platform and other cloud platforms
  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to map data needs across multiple systems, address data quality issues when migrating information, and create a single source of truth for decision making and project success
  • Drive data management and analysis activities to sunset legacy systems and enable new, next-generation platforms to launch successfully
  • Lead discussions and create documentation (e.g., data flows, data mapping) in the areas of data management, data migration, data profiling, data quality, ETL, and data enrichment
  • Contribute as a member of an implementation teams by building data strategies to enable both short-term and long-term data needs for multi-cloud projects
  • Translate functional and system requirements into designs and deployment of processes and tools that satisfy those requirements
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years' experience with data migration, including data mapping, extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
  • 2+ years of Salesforce implementation experience, including technical knowledge of Salesforce configuration (i.e., familiarity with Salesforce data models, object relationships, storage, querying, loading, and record security)
  • Experience in data flow design, data profiling, data analysis, data quality, data manipulation, data warehousing, data modeling, and data architecture
  • Experience with relevant migration tools such as ETL, SQL, and data loaders (i.e., experience with one or more of the following: Pentaho Data Integration, Talend, Hevo, Informatica, SnapLogic, Boomi, Jitterbit, and Azure Data Factory)
  • Experience with Agile and iterative development methodologies
  • Ability to facilitate complex data discussions and solve problems by working with team members and clients
  • Ability to obtain, understand, and respond appropriately to client needs
  • Salesforce certifications a plus
