Job Summary

    The University of California at San Francisco's (UCSF) is undertaking digital transformation program at UCSF Health.  One core component of UCSF Health's digital transformation is an improved patient and provider experience and the design and implementation of the patient and provider customer relationship management (CRM) platform is vital to achieving this. UCSF is looking for an innovative technology leader to serve as the enterprise CRM Platform Architect for UCSF Health.The UCSF Health CRM Platform Architect is the owner of the overall cross-cloud platform and all solutions delivered upon the defined target architecture. The Platform Architect is accountable for the successful delivery of solutions on the Salesforce CRM platform according to the enterprise architecture of the organization, and the continuous assessment of future state architecture based on platform growth and future releases of the platform cloud products.Involved in the development of server / OS / desktop / mobile applications and services including researching, designing, developing specifications for designing, writing, modifying, testing, debugging, troubleshooting and maintaining source code. Also having direct or related involvement in designing related databases, user interfaces, integration to other systems / applications, content or multimedia processes. Work includes analysis and design to post-production processes, quality assurance, maintenance and documentation.

Required Qualifications
    7 - 10 years related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related area and / or equivalent experience / training.Expert knowledge of secure software development on the Salesforce Platform.  Solid understanding of HIPAA and secure handling of PHI in the cloud.Expert skills associated with Salesforce Platform software design, development and deployment of diverse and complex software of Health System, institution-wide and/or multi-institutional scope.  Proven experience in architecting solutions and designs on Core platform, Health cloud, Sales, Service, Marketing, Community clouds.  Experience in Salesforce domains such as Integration, Communities, Security, Sharing and Visibility, SSODemonstrated ability to code software of high complexity / derive algorithms on Salesforce  platforms; Experience working with Force.com Apex Classes, Apex triggers, Batch Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visual Force (VF Pages), Integration (REST, SOAP, Change Data Capture, Platform Events), Force.com API, SOQL and SOSL.Demonstrated ability to engage in performance / integration testing, business and technical analysis, data analysis and data modeling of high complexity.Expert skills and experience in recommending changes to Salesforce development, maintenance and software standards and processes.Experience with performance tuning and optimization of Salesforce platform.  Awareness of large data volume considerations, risks, and mitigation strategiesDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate with executive-level management on a regular basis.Demonstrated ability to understand functional needs and how systems can support those needs. Demonstrated ability to develop conversion and system implementation plans.Expert experience with identification and use of code libraries, open-source forums, and Salesforce AppExchange.Experience with planning for deployment and creation of feedback mechanisms. Demonstrated software repository skills.  Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and QA Automation tools for Salesforce platforms.Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Department Description
Clinical Systems and Health Informatics are responsible for all aspects of the clinical and business software applications of UCSF Health hospitals, practices, affiliates, and community partners. This includes the Electronic Health Record (APeX), which supports the clinical, revenue cycle, and clinical operational functions of the health system and its affiliates, and approximately 95 other software applications involved in patient care and operations.  The team also supports Patient and Clinical Communications platforms.  Clinical Systems also works closely with Information Technology and the Center for Digital health Innovation to manage inter-related enterprise platforms and support UCSF's digital transformation to improve patient and provider experience.
