Responsibilities

How Will You Contribute to the Company?

Cradlepoint is actively seeking an experienced sales manager and leader to join our team. This role will focus on managing a top-performing sales team who sells to major wireline/cable operators. We focus on selling SD-WAN, WWAN failover, fixed wireless access, IOT, mobile solutions, and more. Additional focus will be given on supporting the team with personal and professional growth. The candidate will need to coordinate with their sales team, sales leadership, executive management and operations to complete our world-class organization and grow their business faster than industry averages. The ideal candidate will have significant managemnt experience and be able to demonstrate high EQ. Cradlepoint is the #1 provider of 4G and 5G solutions to the MSP and cellular operator ecosystems. This is a key position in Cradlepoint to dramtically affect the growth of Cradlepoint and wireless WAN networking across the industry.

What Will You Do?

  • Manage a team of 3-5 senior sales people
  • Forecast all opportunities weekly with high accuracy and knowledge of opportunities
  • Report on sales activities, programs, and revenue progress by each account
  • Work closely with team and sales leadership on creating goals and measuring KPIs
  • Manage team budget, MDF, Contra revenue plans,
  • Determine most effective way to leverage extended team to create the largest ROI
  • Be the escalation point of contact with ability to manage potentially volatile issues
  • Build goals and plans for sales team and measure those goals for the team and executive management
  • Meet with customer's leadership (CEO, CFO, SVPs, etc), and customer sales team to drive mindshare and programs around Cradlepoint offerings
  • Ensure that the sales strategy results in a differentiated and competitive solution for the intended target markets
  • Embrace a solution-driven approach to ensure we deliver the easiest and most friction-free sales model
  • Be or become a Sales Expert in LTE, SD-WAN, Network security, and networking technologies
  • Collect and synthesize input from wireline operators and deliver a simplified message to executive management ways we can improve product, sales processes, support and operations
  • Prioritize between long and short term challenges, problems and opportunities based on ROI and business rationale to drive sales priororities

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: the minimum requirements to do the job - should be clear & quantitative

  • 8+ years of relevant sales management experience with 5+ years experience selling networking, security or WWAN solutions, ideally into Telecom, MSO, and/or MSPs
  • Knowledge of 4G LTE, 5G, and/or SD-WAN is a plus.
  • Strong ability to understand both technical details and practical business application of how enterprises want to use different networking and connectivity solutions
  • Must demonstrate strategic thinking and thought leadership, as well as ability to lead initiatives through implementation
  • Exceptional analytical reasoning skills
  • Critical thinking skills to make intelligent and defendable decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills including ability to persuasively deliver presentations to senior executives, partners and customers
  • High EQ
  • Fast executor, self-starter
  • Travel: Typically: 20%-35% with periods of higher or lower travel amounts
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant exeperience (enough to offset degree) required
