The Range and Training Land (RTLA) Crew Lead will lead a field team to perform vegetation inventory, monitoring, and data collection. This may include:

• Conduct vegetation inventories
• Monitor training land condition
• Collect data
• Use GPS equipment and hand-held computers to store data as it is collected
• Ensure all field notes, maps, and data include the location and date of collection and are submitted

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Natural Resources or related field combined with a minimum two (2) years of professional work experience
• A minimum one (1) year in a leadership role
• A minimum one (1) year working on a military installation.
• Work experience shall be relevant to Task 6 of this TO, to include
• Demonstrated ability to perform field work under severe environmental conditions and in rugged terrain
• Vegetation inventory, monitoring, and data collection in Northeastern North American ecosystems
• Advanced knowledge of Northeastern North American plant species and communities
• A minimum two (2) years of experience using ESRI ArcMap 10.6.1 or higher
• A minimum two (2) years of experience using ESRI ArcPad 10.2 or higher

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting up to 25lbs.
