Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Roll Grinder provides support to the bonding and rolling mills by resurfacing the rolls the mills utilize.
- Requires extensive use of lathes and other various manual machines
- Detect and correct defects on rolls
- Perform repairs adhering to quality parameters and in-process checks
- Utilizes measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers on a regular basis
- At least 2-3 years of previous manufacturing experience utilizing lathes
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and instructions
- Ability to understand and perform basic math working with decimals
