SUMMARY: To sell retail items, including tobacco, to guests. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist guests with questions and purchases, while using proper cash-handling procedures
- Account for the overall accuracy of daily paperwork, including deposits, variances, and shift reports
- Maintain the overall general appearance of the retail sales and storage areas
- Rotate stock to ensure product quality and freshness
- Verify that all items are properly priced
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
- Previous cash register experience
- Previous customer service experience
Preferred:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
Skills
Required:
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Abilities
Required:
- Ability to work fast and efficiently
- Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
- Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
