Who you are:

• A detail-oriented individual, who can support our electric forklift products and associated technical information
  
• An effective communicator, able to serve as the main HYG service contact for customer, dealers, and Field Service Managers
  
• A troubleshooter, able to provide technical support for complex product or system issues and work on short and long term solutions with product development engineering
  

What you will do:

• Serve as Main HYG Service Contact
  
  • Enable dealers to effectively resolve product problems thus ensuring customer satisfaction and reducing warranty expenses
    
  • Collaborate with other service engineers and Field Service Managers to ensure timely resolution
    
  • Provide assistance to customer, dealers, international, marketing, and regional Field Service Managers
    

• Technical Support
  
  • Provide virtual technical support for complex field issues
    
  • Utilize detailed knowledge of the products and systems to support troubleshooting efforts
    
  • Maintain technical libraries consisting of service, test data, and training
    
  • Ensure timely resolution to service problems and uniformity of recommendations
    
  • Become expert and support of new technologies, both internal and externally, such as energy storage & user assist systems.
    

• Monitor Trends
  
  • Improve product performance, serviceability, and reliability to reduce warranty costs
    
  • Identify failure and incident trends so that recommendations can be made to the product solutions team
    
  • Provide technical and statistical reports to define the costs and customer dissatisfaction levels related to product deficiencies
    
  • Relay "voice of the customer" to product engineering in the development of future products
    

What you will need:

• BS Degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred
  
• 5-7 years of relevant experience
  
• In lieu of degree, 9-11 years of experience
  

Skills, Experience & Abilities

• Practical knowledge of electrical controls, mechanical and hydraulic systems, mechanical construction, and electric motors
  
• Interpret engineering drawing, wiring diagrams, schematics, and welding procedures
  
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  
• Experience with electrical communication methods (such as CAN bus), Battery & Charger Technologies also preferred
