Job Description
A new research specialist will perform mouse behavior experiments and data analysis. Duties include construction and design of electrodes for in vivo physiology, analysis of electrophysiological data and performing mouse surgeries, behavioral experiments and data analysis. Furthermore, the Research Specialist A will be responsible for general lab maintenance including the management of mouse colony, plan and conduct a variety of experiments to meet research project objectives (her/his own independent project as well as collaborative projects for scientific publications), with close supervision. The research specialist will need to do daily management of laboratory tools, documentations and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of project/program deliverables. He/she will closely collaborate with senior research specialists and Principal Investigator on experimental/clinical work set ups in accordance to established protocols.
Position is contingent on continued grant funding.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 0-1 year of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Prior experience with programming using Python is preferred.
