Responsibilities

Our Scale It Up (SIU) Florida initiative at CTBScience is a youth-focused, community-based research network consortium focused on HIV and other sexual health issues in adolescents and emerging adults (age 13-29) in Florida. SIU Florida addresses the translation of behavioral interventions for the prevention and treatment of HIV in adolescents and emerging adults. SIU Florida is seeking a Research Faculty to co-direct the program with Dr. Sylvie Naar, director.

This position will be housed in the FSU Center for Translational Science and will serve as the project lead of Dr. Sylvie Naar's Scale It Up - Florida initiative. They will coordinate a variety of research and service efforts and will supervise peer staff. They will oversee stakeholder engagement with youth, agencies, Florida Department of Health, the Scientific and Community Advisory Boards, and the FLASH network - the Florida Adolescent and Young Adult Sexual Health Network, and its Youth Advisory Board. They will serve as co-investigator on extramurally funded projects and will be supported to submit their own grants to pursue their own professional development and research trajectory. They will be involved in academic and community dissemination.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, or related field with a demonstrated record of achievement in research.

Preferred
  • Training in interdisciplinary clinical and research settings.
  • Experience in grant writing, data analysis and manuscript preparation.

Anticipated Salary Range

Anticipated hiring at minimum of $65,000 - $70,000 working full time (40 hours per week). Salary commensurate with education and experience.

Soft Money Funded Position

This is a soft money funded position, with renewal based on available funds and the needs of the University.

Criminal Background Check
