College/Department Information
The Medical College of Georgia is one of the nation's largest medical schools by class size, with 260 students per class. The educational experience is anchored by the main campus in Augusta, regional clinical campuses for third- and fourth-year students across the state and a second four-year campus in Athens in partnership with the University of Georgia. MCG's expanding partnerships with physicians and hospitals across Georgia currently provides about 350 sites where students can experience the full spectrum of medicine, from complex care hospitals to small-town solo practices. MCG and its teaching hospitals also provide postgraduate education to more than 500 residents and fellows in 50 different Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-approved programs. Our researchers and clinicians focus on what most impacts the health of Georgia's and America's children and adults, including cardiovascular biology and disease, cancer, neurosciences and behavioral sciences, public and preventive health, regenerative and reparative medicine, personalized medicine and genomics. Our physician faculty also share their expertise with physicians and patients at about 100 clinics and hospitals statewide.

Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Investigator and Nurse Manager and following established policies and procedures, this position will perform a variety of research activities to include participating in carrying out research objectives, as well as ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and protocol guidelines. Will provide technical support to the Investigator(s) and Nurse Manager and serve as a liaison between the Institution and the sponsor.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Implements established quality measures to assure compliance.
Updates and maintains databases in support of clinical research.
May screen, recruit and obtain informed consent from patients and control subjects that meet enrollment parameters, adhering to HIPAA Laws.
Maintain related clinical research documents (i.e. case report forms, IRB information, adverse events, protocol changes, drug dispensing logs, regulatory binders, source documents)
May order and maintain study specific materials such as supplies and drugs. Maintains study logs per protocol.
Conduct study visits with study-specific tasks including but not limited to monitoring vital signs, weight, ECG's, phlebotomy and specimen processing, administering questionnaires, and collecting other required study data, and follow subjects throughout their study participation.
Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and experience in research, basic science or clinical laboratory particularly clinical trial research.
OR
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and a minimum of three years research and/or clinical experience; previous supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and other computer software/databases; Detail-oriented; Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday - Friday (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)
Pay Grade: R14
Salary Minimum: $36,197 - Midpoint: $50,675
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
Recruitment Period: 12/19/22 - Until Filled
