Summary:
Performs a variety of routine and specialized laboratory tests and experimental procedures for the purposes of original research which generally are within a well-defined body of scientific knowledge and typically contribute to larger research efforts of independent investigators.

Starting salary for this position is $55,045 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience

1. Master's degree and the equivalent of eighteen (18) months of full-time professional research experience in a laboratory, clinical or scientific research environment; or
2. Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of thirty (30) months of full-time professional research experience in a laboratory, clinical or scientific research environment.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have experience working within a cGMP facility, experience in cell culturing techniques for producing cell banks, knowledge of viral vector production using human and animal cell lines and transfection techniques, experience in immunological assays, including flow cytometry and experience in ddPCR, DNA extractions, and ELISAs. They will also have knowledge of aseptic technique working in biosafety cabinet, experience with culturing mammalian cells (mouse or human), and use of specialty equipment e.g., CliniMACS Plus or CliniMACS Prodigy, experience with blood processing standard techniques (e.g., PBMC isolation using Ficoll, and serum isolation), and experience in analytical laboratory testing e.g., PCR/ qPCR and immunological assays including flow cytometry and ELISA Assay. They will alos have the ability to work as part of a team with proven ability to effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion, should be highly motivated and capable of working independently and as part of a team. and have strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
