EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience related major including Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 0-6 months of research experience in a neuroscience laboratory
• Undergraduate level coursework in Neurobiology, Psychopharmacology, Brain Function and Behavior.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Research experience with rodents, animal models of behavior, and animal handling.
• Experience in with DNA isolation, PCR, and tissue staining.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with immunocytochemical or immunohistochemical techniques in neurons or brains
• Experience with stereotactic surgeries
• Demonstrable experience supervising or training others in laboratory setting.
• Analysis of fear conditioning and locomotor activity in genetically modified rodents.
• Prior experience managing colonies of experimental animals
• Experience with protein blots, protein expression using plasmids and viruses.
