Position Overview

The Operations Reporting and Governance Associate will oversee the coordination of departmental events, trainings and participate in special projects, with a forward-thinking and innovative approach to the continuous improvement. They will also have responsibility for supporting the creation, modification, innovation and socialization of collaboration tools and metrics.

This position will be based in Port Washington, New York.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Execute all governance administration and coordinate department-wide activities, such as trainings and communications.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate a variety of topics, includes working with Senior Leadership on Town Hall sessions.
  • Support the development and upkeep of all collaborative platforms and content (including SharePoint).
  • Participate in safeguarding the integrity our our data and dashboards. Continually seek opportunities to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Guide and support the corporate Issue Resolution Process by engaging with stakeholders across the NPD group to a successful and complete conclusion.
  • Leverage a variety of applications and tools for report generation, analysis and identifying useful and usable insights.
  • Analyze data sets in order to understand trends and patterns occurring in metrics.
  • Participate in efforts to design automated solutions for key department reports, communications, metrics and dashboards.
  • Review and identify opportunities for simplification, standardization and automation as well as improve efficiency by eliminating non-value add work.
  • Partner with Operations personnel to support enhancements that make the department more efficient.


Requirements and Technical Skills
  • Minimum of 1 - 3 years' work experience
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Strong administrative skills essential, including organization, active listening, attention to detail and the capability to follow up on multiple action items to ensure closure
  • A demonstrated ability to build a rapport and develop trust with people and be collaborative
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to communicate at multiple levels (individual and large group)
  • A proven 'get up and go' attitude; a self-starter who takes initiative, works independently, and effectively time-manages to achieve deadlines, troubleshoot issues and problem-solve
  • Must possess a high level of learning agility to deal with complexity and has the flexibility to adapt to change. This role continues to grow and evolve, and the successful candidate must evolve accordingly also
  • Experience working on complex cross-functional initiatives and with cross-functional teams and stakeholders is a plus
  • Experienced in the Microsoft O365 Suite including strong PowerPoint skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including the ability to create and update Pivot Tables and Macros
