Position Summary:

This position provides the necessary support to the engineering team executing the functions of inspecting parts for damage and processing the repair instruction packages for applicable repairs. Evaluates if the paperwork to be release to the shop floor is adequate and meet needs of the team members performing the repairs. Communicate and coordinates with the rest of the Airtomic’s team on parts being inspected and processed each day for maximum efficiency and throughput. This position reports directly to Repair Station Engineering Manager.

Key Position Responsibilities:

  • Inspect parts according to PIR instructions while maintaining traceability of part numbers and serial numbers at all times.
  • Measures complex dimensions on parts by using a diverse array of measuring devices.
  • Produces repair instructions packages for repairmen on the shop floor.
  • Populates BOM based on the specific needs of each work order being processed.
  • Produces paperwork for salvage details when needed for repairs.
  • Allocate salvage details to the work packages for work orders that require them.
  • Helps support the other needs and or of the engineering team when required.
  • Helps with general housekeeping of the area during the working hours.
  • Supports the leadership team in all the processes to achieve the highest outcome.
  • Helps support the other needs and or of the engineering team when required.
  • Acts proactively and safely when the situation requires it. Safety first ALWAYS.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Drafting responsibilities will be 70% of this role.

Required qualification / Education / and/or Experience:

Associate’s Degree on technical or engineering field or equivalent experience.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office suite.
  • Must be capable of write, read, and speak English fluently.
  • Must be capable to utilize math at a high school level or higher.
  • Understanding of dimensional tolerance. Capable of measuring complex configuration parts.
  • Solid relationships with the rest of the team, experience, excellent research and report writing skills, dynamic and creative problem solving, as well as professional and positive interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to pass DOT/FAA drug screening.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 or more years of engineering aerospace MRO/OEM experience. Experience with aircraft engine overhaul and repair.
  • Knowledge of solidwork and/or windchill.
  • Knowledge of quantum software.
  • Knowledge on metrology.
  • Strong technical background due to experience in different mechanical and technical fields.
  • Previous experience with airlines, MRO and Repair Station operation companies is a plus.
  • Formal experience on aircraft repair techniques.
  • Strong ethics that align with Airtomic’s core values.
