Modis is hiring for a Reimbursement A/R Specialist in Durham, NC. In this opportunity , you will be providing top notch customer service skills and will need to have a background in healthcare Insurance reimbursement. The Reimbursement A/R Specialist, will work on claims processing, rebilling and collection efforts to reduce accounts receivables. Will work closely with colleagues to improve billing & collections processes.

*** There is a 90-day training period that will be conducted onsite. After training, will be working remotely on a weekly rotation. This is a direct hire opening with regular work hours (Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm)

The Responsibilities of a Reimbursement A/R Specialist in Durham, NC include:

Provide direct support to patients and/or customers regarding coverage for company related products including updates on claim status, billing inquiries, coding issues, etc.

Answer calls from physician offices, hospitals, and patients using exemplary customer service skills.

Verify accuracy of billing data and revise errors.

Post all credit and debit adjustments to accounts with adherence to company guidelines

File all charge, payment and adjustment batches in the appropriate format per
departmental guidelines

Follow up on all outstanding claims at 30, 60, 90+ days from date of services per department procedures with an emphasis on maximizing patient satisfaction and company profits for both insurance and patient due balances

Follow up on all returned claims, denials, correspondence account reconciliations and rebills within 5 business days of receipt of information/request to achieve maximum reimbursement in a timely manner.

Perform day to day administrative functions and general office duties related to the reimbursement department

Practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance with company policies and HIPAA guidelines

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Required Skills:

Experience with CPT, HCPCS, ICD coding

Coding/Billing software and related reimbursement platforms

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Positive attitude, self-motivated and collaborative professional team spirit a must!

Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook

Position Qualifications:

3-5 years' experience in a healthcare insurance or reimbursement role with a focus on accounts receivable

Experience with claims processing, billing and collections
