ABOUT THE JOB
The ACLU seeks a full-time position of Recruitment Manager in the Human Resources Department of the ACLU's National office in New York, NY.

We are responsible for creating, strengthening, and sustaining the programs, processes, and policies that empower people, support and advance the institution, and enable the ACLU to deliver on its mission.

Reporting to the Director, Strategy amp;amp; Innovation the Recruitment Manager will be responsible for putting our mission into action, by building and executing sourcing strategies to identify and attract diverse candidates for departments across the ACLU. This role will be responsible for supporting, planning, developing, coordinating, and executing on recruiting strategies related to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, amp;amp; Belonging (EDIB), including top-of-funnel sourcing, sharing knowledge and best practices with the wider team, and working in partnership to set longer-term inclusive recruiting strategies through measurement, reporting, and analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead strategic search processes and engagements from inception to completion (e.g., identifying qualified talent (external and internal), managing clients, engaging candidates, providing exceptional experiences for candidates, and partnering with human resources and other stakeholders)
  • Create ongoing candidate pipelines by building the ACLU's professional network through relationships with HR professionals, university career services and other partners, industry research, networking, cold calling, and other sourcing strategies
  • Partner with hiring managers across the ACLU to forecast future hiring needs
  • Monitor ongoing hiring processes by advising on interviewing technique and joining alignment meetings, interviews, and evaluation meetings, as needed
  • Oversee and/or advise on Systemic Equality internal initiatives related to recruitment and hiring in partnership with the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB) team
  • Track key recruiting metrics (e.g. time-to-hire and cost-per-hire) to present to senior leadership stakeholders
  • Lead regular structured hiring trainings (consistent hiring trainings) to new staff as a part of ACLU onboarding
  • Engage in special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Center principles of equity, inclusion, and belonging in all work, embedding the values in program development, policy application, and organizational practicesamp;nbsp;and processes
  • Commitment to the mission of the ACLU
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity within the office using a personal approach that values all individuals and respects differences in regards to race, ethnicity, age, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion, disability and socio-economic circumstance

EXPERIENCE amp;amp; QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge amp;amp; Skill
  • Experience as a recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter) with a specific focus on recruiting staff of diverse racial, gender and disability identities, and from other historically underrepresented communities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Management/Leadership
  • Experience building and cultivating relationships with candidates and recruitment partners including but not limited to professional associations, affinity groups and colleges and universities focused on historically underrepresented communities

Problem Solving
  • Comfortable quot;rolling up sleeves to get things donequot; in tandem with participating in complex strategy discussions
  • Track record of solving complex problems, designing creative strategies, and delivering significant impact as a talent leader

Decision Making
  • Excellent business acumen and analytical skills, with proficiency in utilizing data to support a recruiting strategy, process, decision-making, and budget control

Preferred
  • BS/MS in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience
  • Experience building partnerships and effectively influencing clients as well as senior stakeholders


COMPENSATION
The annual salary for this position is $103,968 (Level G). This salary is reflective of a position based in New York, NY. This salary will be subject to a locality adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting. Note that most of the salaries listed on our job postings reflect New York, NY salaries, where our National offices are headquartered.
