Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Recovery Specialist at the Franklin Recovery Center at Behavioral Health Network! Recovery Specialists work closely with RNs and LPNs at the Franklin Recovery Center, communicating about the progress and issues surrounding individuals' care and performing basic care procedures. They also organize care activities and assist in the management of individuals served, facilitating their participation in unit programs and activities as well as individuals' exams and procedures.

Recovery Specialists perform intakes, admissions and discharges of individuals and accurately and clearly completes all related documentation. To ensure a safe and clean environment, Recovery Specialists collaborate with others to maintain a contraband free environment. Additional responsibilities include measuring and recording vital signs accurately, transporting individuals served to appointments, and responding appropriately to clinical emergencies, as well as obtaining and processing insurance information and ordering various supplies.

The Franklin Recovery Center in Greenfield, MA serves those 18 years of age and older who are suffering from drug and alcohol addiction and are at the beginning of their recovery. A 24-hour multidisciplinary team provides acute treatment and detoxification services to the Franklin Recovery Center and the adjacent Northern Hope Center.

Recovery Specialists at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:

  • Competency in simple mathematics, reading comprehension, written and oral communications, following instructions, simple use of charts, reports and records.
  • Knowledge of development stages for adult population and applies developmental theories and concepts when planning and implementing care for individuals served.
  • Knowledge and skill in assisting individuals served with Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
  • Ability to understand, empathize and work with an addicted population and mentally ill population.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) credentials (preferred).
  • In successful recovery for two or more years, if applicable (required).
