Home to NASCAR's Championship Weekend, Phoenix Raceway has been the premier motorsports venue in the Southwest since 1964 and hosts two NASCAR race weekends each year. In March, the Ruoff Mortgage 500 NASCAR Weekend kicks off the race season at Phoenix Raceway, featuring the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and ARCA Menards Series. In November, champions will be crowned in the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and ARCA Menards Series West. Phoenix Raceway also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including corporate meetings and conferences, charity events, holiday events, sport and endurance competitions, driving schools and Segway tours.

Summary

Phoenix Raceway seeks a talented event worker for the period of February 21 to March 16, 2022 to operate answer incoming calls and direct callers to appropriate personnel, greets visitors, vendors and guests and notifies appropriate parties, as well as a variety of other administrative duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Answer phones professionally, determine purpose of call and forward to appropriate individual or department.
• Take and deliver messages or transfer calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
• Communicate routine information regarding events, operations, policies & procedures to inquiring parties.
• Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of visit, and announces visitor to appropriate personnel.
• Process and ship any outgoing mailings, while distributing and delivering all incoming mail.
• Assist the Phoenix Raceway team with customer inquiries, mailings, event support and customer service issues as needed.
• Maintain a safe, organized & clean reception area on a daily basis.
• No travel required.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills are required
• Knowledge of the NASCAR industry a plus
• Comfort to work in a fast-paced and high-energy environment
• Ability to respond quickly, calmly, and professionally to customer-related problems and emergencies
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Previous front desk experience
• High School or Associate degree
